We all want the best for all people living in the Britain, whatever background we're from. Why? Because we're proud British citizens, willing to roll up our sleeves to do what we have to in order to get along and improve our lot.

Although there are many benefits to being an island nation, one of the drawbacks we have here in Britain is a relative lack of space. When all four of our constituent nations are taken together, Britain's population density is approximately 21st highest of the world’s 195 countries. Quite a squeeze. However, when you focus on England exclusively, and strip out nations with a smaller land area footprint, England is staggeringly: The second most densely populated country in the world.

There are many reasons why people might wish to downplay this statistic and we discuss these reasons at length. Regardless, it's undeniable that whoever we are, whatever our interest, we should pause for thought: our high population density is not improving our quality of life. In fact, it's fertile ground for indiscriminate and unpatriotic profiteering. We live in a tight ‘market’. This quickly leads to issues with housing, pollution, low wages and ultimately stagnant growth. The situation is deeply concerning and if we hope to improve our quality of living, we’re going to have to do something about it.

The above forms the basis for all our discussions on Economics. We are at pains to be clear: We understand that discussions surrounding immigration are sensitive. Our population hails from an incredible array of backgrounds, and yes, much of that is due to our colonial past. However, it’s the situation we are in and it's time to come together now to ensure that our quality of life is protected for ALL of us to enjoy. Let's stop fighting amongst ourselves over ideological fantasies and start implementing some pragmatic solutions.
